Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata)

Hawthorn contains procyanidins and the flavonoids rutin, quercetin, hyperoside, and vitexin.

Functions of hawthorn:

  • Normalizes blood pressure
  • Prevents heart racing
  • Keeps heart rhythm regular
  • Dilates blood vessels and improves blood flow
  • Stabilizes collagen
  • Is an antioxidant

Hawthorn is used in the treatment of:

health.  Alleviates the severity of angina attacks.  It is a sedative,    antispasmodic and diuretic.
