CONSIDER
THESE TEN MEDICAL FACTS BEFORE PUTTING
OFF COLON HYDROTHERAPY
1-
Over one billion dollars a year is spent on so called
laxatives in America a year.
2- Try to find a doctor in a thousand
that will talk to you about your bowel or bowel management.
3- Over 100 million Americans suffer
from bowel problems.
4- Orthodox doctors are experts at
cutting out the colon. Try to find one in a thousand
that will tell you how to prevent getting your colon
cut out.
5- Parasites reside in every dirty
colon in America. Try to get one orthodox doctor in
a thousand to tell you how to prevent these parasites
from living inside you.
6- Rectal/colon cancer is the second
leading cancer killer in America. Try to find one orthodox
doctor in a thousand who will recommend a colonic or
even understands the principle, theory, and practice
of colon hydrotherapy in preventing colon cancer.
7- Last year 250,000 Americans had
colostomies. Most of them are now walking around with
a bag strapped to their sides. The operation could easily
cost $50,000 and as much as $100,000. The bags about
$70 a week. How many of those people do you think were
instructed on how to prevent the need for this procedure?
8- Individuals getting colonics and
following a naturopathic lifestyle program do not get
colostomies. This condition can be prevented.
9- Six hundred [people die each day
in America from rotting colons and no one ever told
them about colon hydrotherapy. That's more deaths than
in Vietnam, Korea, and all our wars in the past fifty
years. Imagine an airplane crashing every day of the
year killing six hundred people and no one saying a
word about how to prevent it or asking why is this happening?
10- More absenteeism from school and
work is due to disturbances of the digestive tract than
any other cause.

COMMON
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ON COLON HYDROTHERAPY
Question:
I understand what an enema is, but what
is the difference between an enema and a colonic?
Answer: As beneficial as an enema is,
it is very limited in its effect because only a very
small amount of water is able to be introduced into
the anal canal and lower part of the sigmoid colon.
Then it is necessary to sit on the toilet to evacuate
after each infusion of water. This is accomplished with
a simple home enema bag or Colema board.
With a colonic, scientifically engineered medical equipment,
with sophisticated plumbing is used. Pure filtered water
is brought safely, comfortably, and hygienically up
the full length of your colon and brought back down.
Large volumes of water are used over the course of your
treatment totaling 8-10-12 and even as much as 15 gallons.
It takes a lot of water to begin to soften, breakdown,
and flush out years of hardened glue that has attached
itself to the walls of the colon, and impacted in the
diverticula pockets. It would take between 40 to 120
enemas to equal one colonic in water volume alone. But,
the biggest benefit of all is the therapeutic strengthening
effect of every muscle in the entire colon. The colonic
is designed to restore the colon's natural peristalsis,
which is often lost after years of faulty diet, drugs,
or constipation.
Question:
Are colonics
safe?
Answer: Colonic are basically bringing
filtered water safely, comfortably, and hygienically
up the entire length of the colon and back down again.
It is among the safest of medical procedures known.
With the new professional colon hydrotherapy equipment,
colonics are actually safer than a home enema.
Question:
Are colonics painful?
Answer: We've given colonics to our
children since they were three years old. They felt
so relaxed and comfortable during the treatment that
they would fall sound asleep. Colonics are not colonscopies
or sigmoidoscopies. A well lubricated speculum is inserted
only a few inches into the rectum. No they are not painful,
not even to children.
Question:
I heard it was possible to catch someone else's
germs getting a colonic, is this true?
Answer: If disposable hoses, speculums,
and sheets are used this is impossible. Using out dated
or home made or nonprofessional equipment or so called
colema boards, which is often the case in the underground
can be very infectious. Those electing to seek colon
hydrotherapy services from the underground are understandingly
taking that risk. Let the buyer beware.
Professional medical clinics use modern colon hydrotherapy
equipment, disposable, speculums, disposable hoses,
and even disposable sheets. With the newly engineered
equipment cross contamination is impossible. The designers
have idiot proofed the equipment with separate inflow
and outflow systems. Unlike the new age underground,
professional medical clinics are also inspected by the
State Board of Health and the State Board of Medical
Examiners.
Question:
What do you mean by the new age underground?
Answer: We mean clinics and individuals
administering quasi medical treatments illegally. In
New Jersey and New York colon hydrotherapy is considered
a medical procedure and must be administered under the
supervision of a licensed medical doctor. Anyone who
is not working under medical supervision is practicing
medicine without a license and is committing a crime.
Anyone patronizing those who are breaking the law are
aiding and abetting them, which is a punishable offense.
Although we do not agree with the law, it is the law.
Those in the new age underground are practicing medicine
without a licence and are engaged in criminal activity,
ignoring the law and hoping they won't get caught.
Question:
Is it possible to wash health minerals and
electrolytes out of the body doing colonics?
Answer: For years we were of the opinion
that colonics could wash some good with the bad. We
recommended Jug One and our Intestinal Powder in yogurt,
which our patients still do, but in 1988 the national
College of Naturopathic Medicine did an in-depth study
of seventeen patients doing three colonics a week over
an extended period of time. Their conclusion: Colonics
produce no appreciable change in electrolytes.
Question:
What is considered professional colon hydrotherapy
equipment?
Answer: The state of the art professional
colon hydrotherapy equipment is Doltola and Toxygen.
Both are made in the U.S.A. Professional equipment,
unlike what is used in the underground, it is F.D.A.
approved. In short: It is a medical device approved
by the Federal Government and inspected by the State
Board of Health and the State Board of medical Examiners
on a regular basis.
Question:
What is a Colema board?
Answer: A Colema board is not a colonic,
it is an enema. The Colema board was made popular by
an ex-associate of mine, Dr. Bernard Jensen in his book
entitled "Bowel Management." I begged him to change
the name to "enema board." I told him it would confuse
people and that some health hucksters would promote
them as a colonic, or as good as a colonic, or almost
as good as a colonic, etc. Worse of all some people
who desperately needed a colonic would think that was
what they were getting with a so called Colema board.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people frequent
these new age underground clinics thinking they are
getting high colonics, when in fact they are getting
a low enema.
Question:
Doesn't high fiber, herbs, and acidophilus
basically accomplish the same thing as a colonic?
Answer: A number of health hucksters,
authors, and nutrition gurus have attempted to promote
the idea that colonics are only an option, another way
to clean the colon. They are all wrong! No disrespect
to your favorite health guru, but if he's of that mind
set, he's dead wrong! There is nothing like a colonic.
Nothing can substitute for a colonic. There's nothing
almost as good as a colonic. Nothing cleans the entire
colon like a colonic. Nothing regenerates a flaccid
colon like a colonic. Nothing creates peristalsis like
a colonic. Nothing takes encrusted feces off the colons
reflex points like a colonic. Nothing takes putrefactive
bacteria out of the body like a colonic. Nothing reduces
the body's total level of toxicity like a colonic.
Some of our modern day medical doctors and health gurus,
who are ignorant on the benefits of colonics, need to
read the old medical and naturopathic literature concerning
colonics, which were around long before wonder drugs
came into being.
Believe me, we at Abunda Life believe in high fiber,
herbs, botanicals, homeopathy, acidophilus, etc. We
use tons of them a year in our dispensary. We use them
in conjunction with colonics - never as a substitute.
Question:
How many colonics will I need?
Answer: The amount of colonics we recommend
will vary greatly from person to person. The majority
of our patents who have not suffered from a lifetime
of constipation, bowel weakness, heavy medications,
malabsorption, laxative abuse, recreational drugs, internalization
of stress, and other gastrointestinal problems will
usually accomplish good colon health, bowel cleansing,
tissue detoxification, and normal peristalsis in a series
of twelve colonics. We recommend, as does Dr. Norman
Walker, Dr. Bernard Jensen, Dr. Henry Lindlahr, Dr.
Harvey Kellogg, Dr. Benedict Lust, and many of the old
naturopathic writers and authors on colon hydrotherapy,
that your treatments be spaced one week apart.
Patients who have suffered with long term colon problems
may require two or more treatments a week for a longer
duration of time.
Your urine indican test that we do initially will help
us determine how many treatments you will need.
Question:
What is an indican test?
Answer: Indican is a toxic substance
that should eliminate in your bowel. If it shows up
above the acceptable norm in your first urine of the
day, this is telling us that your bowel is toxic and
that it is backed up, and is seeking an alternative
means of elimination through the kidneys. This test
is a clinical indicator for the number of colonics that
may be necessary. The indican test also serves as a
feedback mechanism on how well you are progressing in
reducing your body's total level of toxicity.
Question:
How much does the indican test cost?
Answer: $45. It is insurance reimbursable.
It is required your first time because colonics are
a medical procedure in New Jersey. We recommend this
test after every fourth treatment to monitor your results.
Question:
Are there other tests that you recommend
that are insurance reimbursable?
Answer: There are over 2500 different
diagnostic tests that are available that our outside
laboratory we contract with is capable of doing and
they are all reimbursable. There are a number of tests
that focus on the colon that can be very helpful, including
the comprehensive digestive and stool analysis.
Question:
After I get through my colon detox series of treatment,
what do I need to do to maintain good colon health?
Answer: Periodic follow up treatments
are necessary to prevent your colon from gumming up
again over a period of time. The purpose of your urine
indican testing is to let you know when and how often
follow up treatments are recommended. Maintenance is
of course a lot easier than therapy, but what it takes
to maintain good colon health can vary considerably
from one patient to another. Some patients may require
at least a treatment a months, while some with no history
of colon problems would require maintenance of a treatment
every two months. Everyone, including those in excellent
health and perfect colons, should get a treatment every
three months with the change of seasons.
Question:
What medical conditions does colon hydrotherapy
treat?
Answer: Colon hydrotherapy is a general
health treatment, not a treatment for any specific named
medical condition.
Question:
How should I expect to feel after a colon hydrotherapy
treatment?
Answer: The vast majority of patients
feel healthier, lighter, and energetic. Personally I
feel much more creative after a colonic treatment. My
brain works much better, but about 5% of our patients
are so impacted, so toxic that temporarily they feel
worse after the first treatment. When toxins get stirred
up, it's possible to feel worse, but by the time they
take their second treatment they feel much better. Some
people get a natural high. Keep in mind that the benefit
of the colonic continues immediately after the colonic
with additional bowel evacuation for days later as the
water from the colonic begins to break up hardened plaque
found deep in the colon.
Question:
What are some of the health advantages to taking
a colonic?
Answer: Indirectly colonics will help
every gland, organ, system, and cell of your body. Your
colon is your body's sewer system. The health of every
cell of your body is related to and dependent on the
health of your colon.
I've given colonics to some people whose headaches went
away. Others knee pain, back pain, PMS, nervousness,
bloating, indigestion, gas, colds, flu, fever, stomach
aches, and so many other conditions it seems incredible.
How does this happen and why does this happen? When
you bring the body's total level of toxicity down, you
free the innate, which is your body's life-force, to
restore and heal itself. If your condition is caused
directly because of toxins, the condition corrects itself.
Would it be correct for me to tell you that colonics
will treat your diseases, aches, and pains? No. Colonics
reduce toxicity so that the body is free to heal itself,
unencumbered with toxins. If your problem is caused
by toxins it will correct itself when we eliminate the
cause. I've seen such amazing results from a series
of colonic that if I was only allowed to administer
one naturopathic treatment it would be colonics.
Question:
Who should not take colonics?
Answer: the counter indications for
colon hydrotherapy or the people who should not take
colonics are: those who have; suffered a recent heart
attack, uncontrolled hypertension, hemorrhage, diverticulitis,
severe abdominal pain, cancer of the colon or G.I. tract,
recent history of G.I. tract bleeding, recent cardiovascular
or abdominal surgery, significant changes in bowel activity,
severe weakness or debilitation, or inability to get
on and off the treatment table by themselves.
Question:
What is the fee for colon hydrotherapy?
Answer: As incredible, as unbelievable
as it may seem the colon hydrotherapy treatment is still
only $70 per treatment ($115 for the first treatment
which includes your urine indican test). This represents
one of the most outstanding values in the entire medical
community.
Question:
Is a there a discount for enrolling in the colon detox
series?
Answer: There is a liberal discount
for enrolling in the colon detox series. The fee is
$697 for twelve treatments if paid in advance by cash,
check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card, or American
Express.
Question:
How long does the treatment take?
Answer: The actual treatment usually
takes between thirty to forty minutes, but you need
time to dress and time for your after treatment bowel
evacuation. So you need to plan on spending about one
hour with us.
Question:
How do I make an appointment?
Answer: Our hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00
PM Sunday through Friday. We are closed on Saturday.
Appointments should be booked a week or more in advance
whenever possible to secure your time slot. On your
initial visit you need to bring your first urine of
the day for your urine indican test. You also need to
come in 30 minutes before your appointment the first
time to fill out your medical history forms. Payment
is made in advance by credit card, check, or money order
to secure your appointment. Twenty four (24) hours notice
is required on all cancellations.
Question:
Is it possible for me to get reimbursed by my medical
insurance carrier?
Answer: Colonics are considered medical
procedures which are reimbursable. The good major medical
insurance carriers will reimburse about 80%. We will
supply you with the necessary form called the "super
bill" for you to submit to your insurance carrier for
reimbursement. In the event your insurance carrier does
not pay, or pays only part of your treatment, save your
receipts as they are deductible as a medical expense
on your taxes at the end of the year.
