Holistic medicine is a natural system of healing. For centuries it was known as Naturopathic medicine. Unlike orthodox dug medicine which tends to specialize on different parts, holistic medicine addresses our whole being, body, mind and spirit.
The term “holistic” has been bantered around so often that it has become meaningless. Today we have holistic doctors, dentists, nurses, clothing, stores, candy bars, etc. that has little to do with holism.
Exactly what is holism? First of all the root word comes from the word “holy” which means set aside for God’s purpose. For example, a Temple or Priest. In Short: Holism must have a spiritual component for it to be holistic. Webster’s Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary defines holism as “a theory that the determining factors living in nature are part of the whole.” Webster emphasizes the functional relationship between the parts and the whole.
What is missing in today’s holistic medicine? It should be obvious, the spiritual component is missing. But again we have another example of a word improperly used so often that it has lost its true meaning. This time it’s the word “spiritual”. What does the word spiritual mean? Because the word spiritual is directly connected to our Creator who is Spirit, it is imperative that we go to His Word found in the Holy Bible to uncover its proper definition.
We find in John 6:63 the Words of Jesus: “The Words that I speak, they are spirit, they are life.” Where do we find these words? Where do we find true spirituality? Where do we find the truly blessed life? The Bible. That’s what our spiritual life development program is all about. At Abunda Life we believe the body, mind and spirit are interrelated, interdependent and interconnected.
What is the missing ingredient in today’s so-called holism? The spiritual component is missing! The same ingredient that is missing in our national health care system and most likely your personal health plan also. The body, mind and spirit are interrelated. It is impossible to separate them.
What is the missing spiritual component? It is the Word. What Word? The Living Word found exclusively in Holy Scripture. The Word of God that applies to every arena of life. According to Jesus Christ this is the only Word that is truly spiritual and the only Word that will give you abundant life now and eternal life thereafter.

God's TRUE CHURCH
